From Chester via the A41
Back to 'How To Find Fernlea Cottage'
Stay on the A41 through the villages of Rowton and Waverton, following signs for Whitchurch.
The road eventually straightens out and you leave the houses behind. You'll pass the Black Dog Pub on your right - about 2 miles after the pub, turn left onto Chester Road, following signs for Gatesheath and Tattenhall. (There is a turn to the right for Bruera just before you turn left, so that you know when to look out for your turning.)
Fernlea Cottage is the first house on the right-hand side. The entrance to the drive is closest to the main road - there's a sign at the entrance.
There is a security light if you arrive after dark, and the door is at the front of the cottage in the middle.
